Sausage bread is a great party food. It is fairly easy to make and the first to be eaten by guests. You will need:
- 1 loaf of yeast bread dough. ( I use Rhodes, but you can mix your own if you prefer.)
- 1 pound of ground pan sausage.
- 1 envelope of Lipton Dry Onion Soup.
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.

Allow dough to thaw about 30 minutes to one hour so it is soft and easy to work with. Meanwhile, mix the remaining ingredients and set aside. Roll softened dough on a floured board until it is flat like pie crust. It should be an oblong shape. Place sausage mixture on the top of dough leaving a one inch margin around all the edges. I usually press the sausage into the dough a little to stabilize it. Beginning at one end, roll the dough like you would cinnamon rolls. Seal all openings to prevent sausage from falling out in the oven. Place roll on a cookie sheet. Allow to rise about one hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown. Allow cooked bread to cool slightly before slicing into 1" pieces.
